Jenna Ortega teases mystery character of Lady Gaga in ‘Wednesday’ season 2
Jenna Ortega also couldn’t stop praising Lady Gaga, calling her “one of the kindest, most grounded people I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, such a powerhouse.”
‘Wednesday’ follows Wednesday Addams as she uncovers dark secrets, hones her psychic abilities, and tackles eerie mysteries at Nevermore Academy. The series blends supernatural drama with quirky humour and the classic charm of the Addams family world.

Netflix’s smash-hit series ‘Wednesday’ is adding a dose of dark glamour to its next chapter. Eva Green is stepping into the world of the Addams family for Season 3. The news, first reported by Deadline, has already sent fans into a frenzy.
Viewers were left with a major cliffhanger at the end of Season 2, a glimpse of a mysterious woman from behind. Now it’s official that figure was Aunt Ophelia played by Green. Her arrival marks the biggest new casting move since Netflix renewed the show earlier this year even before Season 2 debuted.

For months, fans speculated about the identity of this unknown character. Some even believed Lady Gaga’s Rosalyn Rottwood might be revealed as Ophelia Frump. But the truth is now clear that Eva Green will bring this troubled Addams family member to life.

Ophelia shares more than just a family name with Wednesday (Jenna Ortega). She is also a raven, with strong psychic powers that once pushed her far beyond safe limits. Her talent spiraled so dangerously that her own mother Hester Frump (played by Joanna Lumley) had her admitted to Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital.
But Ophelia didn’t stay locked away. She escaped, vanished, and her trail went cold. Wednesday only learns of her aunt’s story after Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) hands her Ophelia’s journal as a sign of trust. The moment Wednesday touches it, she sees a vision of a woman crowned with flowers, long blond hair flowing.
‘Wednesday’ inspired by Charles Addams’ iconic characters, continues to follow Wednesday Addams as she navigates supernatural mysteries at Nevermore Academy.
The returning cast includes Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Joanna Lumley and Fred Armisen.
The series is created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar who also lead it as executive producers and showrunners.
Green’s casting feels like a perfect match. She last worked in a major supernatural series when she headlined Showtime’s ‘Penny Dreadful’, a performance that earned her a Golden Globe nomination.
Alongside her new role in ‘Wednesday’, Green has several films on the way, including ‘The Trees’, ‘Blood on Snow’, and ‘Just Play Dead’.
